Save OUR Planet! - Red Bluff Art Gallery - 2025

John Romi’s painting series, "Earth," offers a profound exploration of our planet’s past, present, and future through three powerful works: Blue Earth, Green Earth, and Red Earth.

In "Blue Earth," Romi captures the serene beauty of our planet as seen from space. A calming palette of blues conveys Earth’s peaceful and fragile nature, a vibrant yet delicate oasis in the universe. This artwork evokes awe and invites reflection on the interconnectedness of life and the need to cherish our shared home.

In "Green Earth," Romi celebrates Earth’s boundless capacity to nurture life. Vibrant greens and organic forms represent fertility and growth, highlighting the intricate connections between humanity and nature. It serves as a visual hymn to the vitality and sustenance the planet provides.

In "Red Earth," Romi confronts the consequences of humanity’s actions on the environment. Bold red tones convey urgency, symbolizing global warming, conflict, and exploitation. Geometric shapes emphasize humanity’s disruptive impact, urging viewers to acknowledge these crises and take responsibility for restoring balance.

The "Earth" series stands as a poignant reminder of our planet’s beauty, resilience, and the challenges we must collectively face.

To The Stars, 36x48Inch

The Bridge Arts Foundation & The Scholart Selection

“Seeking Light” suggests a quest for illumination and clarity in artistic expression. The interplay of light and shadow becomes a metaphor for life’s complexities and the pursuit of enlightenment through artistic creation. It also delves into the human desire for understanding, truth, and transcendence; and mirrors the philosophical journey of seeking knowledge and self-discovery. The concept invites contemplation on the interplay between light and darkness, knowledge and ignorance, and the transformative power of enlightenment in both art and life. “Seeking Light” becomes a powerful metaphor that resonates across visual art and philosophical exploration, inviting artists and viewers alike to embark on a profound quest for meaning and understanding.
